  • Split The Image: Will Origin Awaken? (Path of Origin Final Arc Chapter)

Origin was once a regular demon created to live on Bethumet like the other humans and demons on Bethumet. However, a general dislike between Humans and Demons began, and now, a great war between the Humans and Demons is taking place. Origin began hiding to avoid the war, only to be caught by the secret organization S.I.G.M.A. After being chained by S.I.G.M.A, he was experimented on and eventually transformed into a "New" Origin, one with power and an absolute desire to serve the organization. With questions about why formulating more demons for control is becoming harder to do, Origin agreed to be tested. Unfortunately, his last test ended abruptly as now he and Zephyr have to rescue S.I.G.M.A's best human warrior, Naba.

    ORIGIN

The ultimate creation of the organization S.I.G.M.A. Originally a regular demon, he now has the ability to see into the future and the minds of people. Controlled and manipulated, Origin will do what he's told- while trying to find his purpose on Bethumet....

    NABA

Occasionally cold blooded and destructive, Naba is a human whose purpose is to help stop demons in the war. In order to do that, she wants to help S.I.G.M.A control demons. That's why she works beside them. She also has other reasons for being here...it involves Origin...

“What…what am I?” Thought Origin terribly, holding his left hand to his face. “I’ve…I’ve always thought about it but…I haven’t found out yet…” He stared at his twin.

“If you are who you say you are, then what do I look like to you?” The figure that called himself ‘Origin’ laughed, then said,

“How the hell am I supposed to know? You look like a piece of s***, a little f***…that doesn’t know who it is or what it is. It’s like you turned one corner and forgot you existed!”

“…Nice assessment. But there’s something you’re not telling me…” He got into a fighting stance. “And the only way I’ll find out is to beat it out of you!” ‘Origin’ laughed again.

“You really are a rude sucker are you?” Suddenly without even sensing it, blood splattered from Origin’s body. He gasped in shock, not knowing what just happened. “That’s what you get for insulting your king…now,” A long, blue sword materialized in the air, “This is what you get for being a copycat!” A loud, death like cry was heard as the sword pierced through the stomach of Origin. Copious amounts of blood flowed out, with him coughing blood from his mouth. “You don’t exist. You don’t have a name. You don’t have a home. You’re just an anomaly…something that shouldn’t be!”

When Origin awoke, he found himself submerged in water. When he arose, he found himself looking around, seeing nothing but air and blue water. He then got a chill as he thought, “Who…who am I…I…need answers…” but before he wanted those answers, he had to find Naba. Whatever that nightmare was, it wasted valuable time. A stone tablet appeared behind Origin and glowed green. He quickly followed its trail. As soon as he did, he found himself right in the middle of some sort of ceremony. There were 8 mysteriously hooded figures kneeling, the blue statue that was at the UNDERGROUND hideout on one side, a heavily dressed figure standing up with his hands in the air, and Naba, chained to the middle of the ground and unconscious. Before the hooded figures could even move, Origin severed at least one of their arms before yelling, “I’ve caught you…now…time to start talking.”

“W-who the hell are you?” coughed the heavily dressed figure.

“I don’t know…but I’ll find out. As for you…” he grabbed the figure’s head then crushed it, “I don’t know who you are. It might be best that way.” The other hooded figures tried to counterattack with a spell, but Origin slashed them all in half in seconds. UNDERGROUND was good as gone. And Naba was saved.

“Hey, Naba…wake up…” Origin poked at her a couple of times, “Wake up….geez…” He sighed, looked as if he was going to regret saying this, but said it anyways, “I love you—”

“I love you too!” Naba sprung to life and hugged him really hard, “I knew you would return my feelings! It was just a matter of time!”

“…I guess you’re feeling all right…”Origin had a pained expression on his face. Naba then abruptly let him go. She looked downtrodden.

“I…I’m sorry…to have allowed myself to get caught—and by a lowly organization such as them—I promise that a shame like this will never happen again!”

“That was a good speech. Maybe you should tell that to the boss when we get back.” Naba looked terrified thinking about it. Origin chuckled.

“Wait, did you just laugh?” Naba smiled. “You’re supposed to be serious and one minded!” Origin, ignoring her comment, got up, raised his left claw then “pushed” it forward. A stone tablet appeared. After it glowed purple, he transported Naba and himself back to the UNDERGROUND hideout. When they got there, they both saw Zephyr submerged in a pile of fake Nabas, unconscious. “…Is he serious?!?”

“Let’s not figure it out…” A stone tablet appeared in front of Origin and glowed red. Immediately the fake Nabas disappeared. As soon as that happened, Zephyr came to.

“Eh…N…Naba?!?  NO, PLEASE, NO MORE!!!” He looked around. “W…wait, you’re the only one?”

“You really suck at your job, don’t you!??! You’re so worthless!!!” screamed Naba. “At least there’s someone here who can actually do their job!!!” Zephyr sighed, letting her vent her frustrations. Origin then told everyone to gather around him.

    “We’re going back…back home…”
