  • Hiatus

I apologize for doing this, but I'm taking an indefinite hiatus from writing Origin...I've just been swamped with other things to do, and I haven't been feeling too good about doing Origin lately...so I hope with some time off doing this I'll come back with more consistent stories of Origin...until then, stay safe everyone!

  • Chapter 13: Senjo (戦場) (Blueblood Arc)

It is Year 24. The World called Bethumet is embroiled in a war between the Humans and Demons. Many factions have risen and grown as the struggle for life continues: S.I.G.M.A is one faction that wants to control demons and use them in their fight....Origin is their first creation...

    Origin(起源)

003 S.I.G.M.A's first successful creation, he constantly searches for his true purpose on Bethumet

    Naba(ナバ)

…As they let their newest creation out of its chamber case, everyone in the room wondered what exactly they were getting. Well, all except Origin who only thought this was the organization’s latest success. After a few scientists drained the water out, energy swirled around the blue wolf demon like creature, its body wearing a large and heavy looking cloak. The tube opened up. With a few remnants of water falling out, it fell towards the ground, lifeless. Scientists warned everyone to stand back. It took a few seconds, but the wolf demon twitched. It slowly started to rise. It opened its eyes: one was pure red, the other pure blue. It looked around.

“So, you must be my creators,” it said in a bold voice,

“…My name is Senjo…I will do as you command.” Everyone chatted about in excitement.

“You must be our new creation,” remarked the Boss, who walked in the chamber. “Welcome to S.I.G.M.A.” Origin and Naba walked towards Senjo.

“I hope you’ll do what is told,” said Naba in a cold tone, “Because defiance is not tolerated here…” She walked away. Origin glared at Senjo.

“She’s usually like that. Be calm with her…anyways, let’s do our jobs well.” Senjo seemed somewhat lost, but soon replied,

“Y…yes…master…” Origin did not like the sound of master. But this situation made him think of something he failed to do.

    “Boss…”

    “Yes?” Origin kneeled,

“I have to apologize…” The Boss looked perplexed. “I have never mentioned my name, have I?”

“Ah! That’s correct. You never mentioned it, so we assumed you didn’t have one.”

“Well then, I want you to remember it. I don’t expect to say it again…

    “My name…is Origin…”

  • Chapter 12: Rays of the Blueblood (Blueblood Arc)

“Naba, welcome back,” clapped the boss as he greeted Origin, Naba, and Zephyr back from the mission. “What an entirely stressful situation!”

“Please, forgive me,” begged Naba, “I promise you an embarrassment like this will never happen again!”

“Well, I would hope not! Anyways, I hope you guys can enjoy some inactivity for a while. You three are dismissed.”

    *****

“Oh, my dear lover!” gushed Naba, who wrapped her left arm around Origin, “What shall we do to celebrate the momentous occasion of our love?”

    “…Nothing sounds good to me…”

“HA! Why don’t you two go find a room!” laughed Zephyr, who elicited a glare from Naba. They looked like they on the verge of another spat until they saw a smiling Shizune walking hurriedly towards the Boss. “Huh…she looked rather happy for a change…”

“I wonder what’s going on?” asked Naba. A stone tablet appeared in front of Origin.

“I’ll find out…” It glowed yellow.

“More demons are under our control?” responded the Boss.

“Yes! I…I don’t know how, but we managed to adjust a few things and the same formula worked!” Origin, Naba, and Zephyr quickly ran towards the demon chamber. When they got there all but Origin gaped at the blue haired figure shaped like a wolf inside the tube…

  • Split The Image: Will Origin Awaken? (Path of Origin Final Arc Chapter)

Origin was once a regular demon created to live on Bethumet like the other humans and demons on Bethumet. However, a general dislike between Humans and Demons began, and now, a great war between the Humans and Demons is taking place. Origin began hiding to avoid the war, only to be caught by the secret organization S.I.G.M.A. After being chained by S.I.G.M.A, he was experimented on and eventually transformed into a "New" Origin, one with power and an absolute desire to serve the organization. With questions about why formulating more demons for control is becoming harder to do, Origin agreed to be tested. Unfortunately, his last test ended abruptly as now he and Zephyr have to rescue S.I.G.M.A's best human warrior, Naba.

    ORIGIN

The ultimate creation of the organization S.I.G.M.A. Originally a regular demon, he now has the ability to see into the future and the minds of people. Controlled and manipulated, Origin will do what he's told- while trying to find his purpose on Bethumet....

    NABA

    Snapshot_20090329_12

Occasionally cold blooded and destructive, Naba is a human whose purpose is to help stop demons in the war. In order to do that, she wants to help S.I.G.M.A control demons. That's why she works beside them. She also has other reasons for being here...it involves Origin...

“What…what am I?” Thought Origin terribly, holding his left hand to his face. “I’ve…I’ve always thought about it but…I haven’t found out yet…” He stared at his twin.

“If you are who you say you are, then what do I look like to you?” The figure that called himself ‘Origin’ laughed, then said,

“How the hell am I supposed to know? You look like a piece of s***, a little f***…that doesn’t know who it is or what it is. It’s like you turned one corner and forgot you existed!”

“…Nice assessment. But there’s something you’re not telling me…” He got into a fighting stance. “And the only way I’ll find out is to beat it out of you!” ‘Origin’ laughed again.

“You really are a rude sucker are you?” Suddenly without even sensing it, blood splattered from Origin’s body. He gasped in shock, not knowing what just happened. “That’s what you get for insulting your king…now,” A long, blue sword materialized in the air, “This is what you get for being a copycat!” A loud, death like cry was heard as the sword pierced through the stomach of Origin. Copious amounts of blood flowed out, with him coughing blood from his mouth. “You don’t exist. You don’t have a name. You don’t have a home. You’re just an anomaly…something that shouldn’t be!”

When Origin awoke, he found himself submerged in water. When he arose, he found himself looking around, seeing nothing but air and blue water. He then got a chill as he thought, “Who…who am I…I…need answers…” but before he wanted those answers, he had to find Naba. Whatever that nightmare was, it wasted valuable time. A stone tablet appeared behind Origin and glowed green. He quickly followed its trail. As soon as he did, he found himself right in the middle of some sort of ceremony. There were 8 mysteriously hooded figures kneeling, the blue statue that was at the UNDERGROUND hideout on one side, a heavily dressed figure standing up with his hands in the air, and Naba, chained to the middle of the ground and unconscious. Before the hooded figures could even move, Origin severed at least one of their arms before yelling, “I’ve caught you…now…time to start talking.”

“W-who the hell are you?” coughed the heavily dressed figure.

“I don’t know…but I’ll find out. As for you…” he grabbed the figure’s head then crushed it, “I don’t know who you are. It might be best that way.” The other hooded figures tried to counterattack with a spell, but Origin slashed them all in half in seconds. UNDERGROUND was good as gone. And Naba was saved.

    *****

“Hey, Naba…wake up…” Origin poked at her a couple of times, “Wake up….geez…” He sighed, looked as if he was going to regret saying this, but said it anyways, “I love you—”

“I love you too!” Naba sprung to life and hugged him really hard, “I knew you would return my feelings! It was just a matter of time!”

“…I guess you’re feeling all right…”Origin had a pained expression on his face. Naba then abruptly let him go. She looked downtrodden.

“I…I’m sorry…to have allowed myself to get caught—and by a lowly organization such as them—I promise that a shame like this will never happen again!”

“That was a good speech. Maybe you should tell that to the boss when we get back.” Naba looked terrified thinking about it. Origin chuckled.

“Wait, did you just laugh?” Naba smiled. “You’re supposed to be serious and one minded!” Origin, ignoring her comment, got up, raised his left claw then “pushed” it forward. A stone tablet appeared. After it glowed purple, he transported Naba and himself back to the UNDERGROUND hideout. When they got there, they both saw Zephyr submerged in a pile of fake Nabas, unconscious. “…Is he serious?!?”

“Let’s not figure it out…” A stone tablet appeared in front of Origin and glowed red. Immediately the fake Nabas disappeared. As soon as that happened, Zephyr came to.

“Eh…N…Naba?!?  NO, PLEASE, NO MORE!!!” He looked around. “W…wait, you’re the only one?”

“You really suck at your job, don’t you!??! You’re so worthless!!!” screamed Naba. “At least there’s someone here who can actually do their job!!!” Zephyr sighed, letting her vent her frustrations. Origin then told everyone to gather around him.

    “We’re going back…back home…”

    006

Origin found himself running aimlessly without any idea where to go. He looked around to be surrounded by lush green trees and the foreboding purple sky, but not even a trace of Naba.

“Damn…whoever these guys are…they’re good…” Origin jumped up in the air to see if he saw Naba, but there were too many trees in his way. “Wait…there’s too many trees here…” Hundreds of stone tablets surrounded him, then glowed purple. Wave after wave of trees were destroyed in seconds. When they were all gone, Origin found himself with nothingness in his face. “What the…I can’t see…Have I been trapped?”

    So…you are the one…

“Who’s there? Answer me.” Origin tried to bring his stone tablets out, but couldn’t.

You are the one who searches for itself…do you know what you are?

“Stop trying to mess with me…where’s Naba?” A small, blue light developed in the shadows.

The one who doesn’t understand itself…are you alive? The small light grew bigger and soon engulfed Origin, who didn’t know what was going on…

“Why…why…” said a very unknown anamoly as he stared at the many humans that were strangled and slashed to bits of pieces. “This war…why…why does war cause so much pain?” The anamoly walked around slowly, stepping on puddles of blood, moving his head in different directions to see bodies piled on top of each other, houses falling in succession all around it. It then crumbled to the floor, acting as if it was his own fault. He sank his head to the ground. “No one…I know…no one likes each other…they hate each other…humans and demons…” he only sighted as he couldn’t think of any other words to say…

“W…where am I?” wondered Origin as he found himself…floating. When he looked to his left, there was a blue, endless sky. When he looked to his right, it was a dark, purple sky. “I…can’t sense anything…”

“Well, of course you can’t…” Origin looked around, only to see nothing.

    “Who’s there? Show yourself...”

“You want to know who I am?” A tap on Origin’s shoulder chilled Origin for the first time in his life. He slowly turned around and stared face to face, eye to eye, unknown entity to unknown entity, at himself. “My name is Origin…what’s your name?” Origin moved backwards in a strange terror. He was looking at a figure who looked exactly like him, except half of the figure’s body was black and white, and he had a more sinister, crazed look about him. “Stop ignoring me! Don’t you know it’s rude to not give someone their name after they just gave theirs? What’s your name?” Origin, trying to figure out what’s going on, replied,

“My name is…?....???” A fear arose in Origin’s body: he couldn’t say my own name.

“You’re a rude bastard, aren’t ya? Can’t tell me your name? You’re annoying the hell out of me!” Origin could not figure it out, but was getting angry at this charade.

“You…are not…Damn you, who the hell are you?!?”

“What? This is how you respond? I did absolutely nothing to you! Maybe you just did something to yourself! Or maybe…you don’t even know yourself!” This paralyzed Origin.

“I…don’t know myself?” He thought. Then he started to question his purpose once again…
